Taunton Brewhouse is a hugely popular theatre and arts venue in Taunton, Somerset; hosting all sorts of shows, live music, dance and exhibitions it is an important part of the community. We were brought in to develop the brand identity to give it strength, power and modernity.
We worked closely with the theatre team and key stakeholders from the wider community in order to develop a brand identity that would better encompass and represent its vast offerings and potential. This included taking the business back to its very roots as part of the industrial centre of the town, showcasing how the Brewhouse had always been there and was now a Taunton staple.
The identity we devised is contemporary and dynamic. The main logo leaves white space to represent that potential for any kind of performance and art. The space can then be filled with the different elements of the business, be it art, film, education or more. The wider brand focuses on the people involved, with authentic photography being key to championing the people that work with, perform in and visit the venue.
The new identity, along with its accompanying printed and digital assets, allows the Brewhouse to be seen in the same league as larger, more national venues.
