SS&L approached Teapot for a new website because their existing one was outdated, performing poorly and increasingly convoluted as time went on. Alongside this was a shift in focus and internal systems, so it was time for a digital reset! The shift for the business was to make Apprenticeships the core focus of the business and a move away from the third party course booking system to a new platform.
"We knew that reimagining how SS&L’s content was housed and displayed for the varying types of visitors was the main challenge with their new website. Teapot decided that by using a research-led approach in what was a thorough SEO Keyword and metadata phase, that this would assist SS&L and in turn the team building it here at Teapot to realise what the new site structure needed to be! This then informed the design and build process seamlessly, resulting in a site fully considered from as many angles as possible and a far better UX for the visitor."

"Working with SS&L was a rewarding experience. By conducting a comprehensive keyword analysis, we identified untapped opportunities and strategically aligned their content with high-value search terms. Through on-page optimisation and meticulous adjustments to titles, meta descriptions, and internal linking, we were able to improve their website's structure and user experience. Our tailored approach not only increased organic traffic but also boosted engagement metrics like time-on-page and conversions. Seeing these measurable results and the client’s satisfaction truly validated the effort we put into optimising their digital presence."

"Injecting SS&L’s colourful brand palette into a clean layout without it looking garish took a considered approach. We needed something fun but intuitive that wasn’t complicated for the user. The simple side navigation gets users to the right places quicker and the page styling inspires intrigue and interaction."

"The key thing we wanted to address from a development perspective with this build was to try and make the experience of using the site for both the end user AND the client much smoother. We decided to take a modular approach to achieve this, by building reusable content blocks that the SS&L team could use to build pages out in any way they wanted. By taking this approach we were able to give SS&L the freedom to manage and build out their site but also ensure built-in guidance on specific content areas and proper data validation was present on the content fields to keep the visual identity of the site intact no matter what! We topped this off with a training session for a few members of the SS&L team so they could get to grips with the blocks we had produced and to leave with the confidence to jump into the site and get cracking."

"A huge thank you to Dom, Alex, Clive, Jon, and everyone who worked with us on our new website! As a training provider with a diverse range of courses, it was important for us to create a website that serves our learners and employer partners. The team at Teapot guided us expertly through the process, and we're delighted with the results. The added bonus, is that they are genuinely nice people to work with!"
