Sustainable results for an innovative waste management company: PRM Waste Systems.

For over 25 years PRM Waste Systems has been providing the UK with waste recycling machinery and equipment, as well as customer service. The website was poorly structured and organic performance was quite poor, attracting new customers whilst catering to existing customers was key to success for PRM.

Concerns were raised that the menu was ineffective for UX and subsequently meaning that users were exiting pages as they couldn’t find what they needed to very quickly. The overcomplicated navigation reflected an outdated design. We used the site as a reference point for existing customers.

“Key decision making points for us was going with Teapot over other agencies was being integrated, having a team of SEO experts such as Teapot over other agencies. We knew SEO was going to be important for new business acquisition. We wanted an agency that could guide us and hand-hold through the process.”

To provide a fresh, updated look that not only has impact, but also be recognisably PRM. The design needed to function well across multiple devices, while also providing a simpler user journey with call-to-actions being a click away.

We began by performing an SEO audit of the website, which would then go onto inform the site design and further SEO strategy. Following the audit, we identified the need for specific landing pages etc.

By removing distractions and unnecessary content, we refocused the approach on simplicity and accessibility. By giving the user a recognisable entry point, we displayed the relevant information to them at the right point in their buying cycle. To back the logic, we needed a design that would stand above our competitors, be memorably different and also illustrate the services and problems we solve.

"We’re really happy with the new website both in design and performance. We have seen a huge increase, not just in organic traffic but also enquiries coming through to us. In terms of overall leads, we’re looking at about a 150% increase in this quarter since going live."

"Having little digital expertise internally, we have relied on Teapot being an extension of our team and leading this area of development for our business. The results speak for themselves, with an increase in organic visits by 360% in the first quarter after launch and a 150% increase in leads. The new website has hugely improved user experience and now represents our business offering accurately, with increased functionality for us to make our own amends in the future. We are continuing to work with Teapot to further improve other elements of our digital activity. We have the confidence they are able to deliver a positive change in our approach to lead generation through SEO."
